Performance demo

Live, without a net.

Shared for booking and press review while new production material is in progress. Please do not repost or redistribute.

Band context

The longer story.

The Bayou Gipsies work from familiar songs without being bound to familiar versions. Their sets move through blues, soul, funk, rock, alternative music, Latin rhythm, and occasional classical touches, but the through line is the band’s approach: start with the chord structure, find the pulse, then take the song somewhere of their own.

A recognizable title can arrive sideways. A well-known chorus might surface after an unhurried guitar line, a saxophone transition, or a change in the groove. A tight arrangement can open into a stretch of atmosphere and improvisation, then resolve into something heavier, warmer, or more danceable than where it began.
